Leni Robredo Representative 3rd District of Camarines Sur



Maria Leonor Robredo is a political figure in Camarines Sur, Philippines, also known as Leni. She is a lawyer and the widow of former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo. She was born on April 23, 1965 in Naga, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

She was married to former Mayor of Naga City turned DILG Secretay Jesse Robredo with 3 children: Jessica Marie "Aika" Robredo, Patricia Robredo and Jillian Therese Robredo.
Currently, she is the chairperson of Liberal Party in Camarines Sur and the standard bearer for congressman district
.
On May 16, 2013 she was proclaimed as the winner for the Congresswoman of the 3rd District of Camarines Sur by a landslide, beating Nelly Favis Villafuerte, wife of Luis Villafuerte, newspaper columnist of Manila Bulletin, and former Monetary Board member, of Nationalist People's Coalition/United Nationalist Alliance.

Leni Robredo took Economics at University of the Philippines in 1986 and Law at University of Nueva Caceres in 1990. She finished her basic education at  Universidad de Sta. Isabel.
She will sponsor the Freedom of Information(FOI) bill in the 16th Congress, and she was agreeable to Malacanang's version of the transparency measure.

She will filed her first bill in the House of Representatives, which seeks the full disclosure of transaction of all elected officials. "Funds are the hard-earned of the people that should be spent judiciously and only for the common good". 

Leni Robredo will be the Political figure to watch in her term, What legacy she will be give to the people and political allies ?
